RETHINKING SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS

In these exceptional times, society’s values are shifting faster than ever as citizens seek a fairer and more ethical world. To restore trust, business leaders have a crucial role in minimising environmental damage and putting social responsibility at the heart of strategy. We need sustainable businesses that deliver financial returns while generating positive value for society and being environmentally responsible for the planet.

Professional accountants are in a unique position to make real, impactful change and be at the centre of sustainable development, including driving climate action in the organisations they lead and work for. From making business decisions to reporting on CO2 emissions to measuring social impact, the skills, judgment, and approach of professional accountants have a vital role in this effort. Their rounded, data-informed, ethical approach, along with their breadth of view, means that they have a vital role in this effort.

At ACCA we’re here to help you navigate with an ethical compass this emerging and evolving sustainability landscape. And to provide you with the practical insights, tools, learning and connections so you have the skills and confidence to lead the changes required to drive positive and sustainable business performance. As usual, takes, we take innovative approaches to drive our messages, including inviting you to the films!

In this Ethics Film Festival, immerse yourself in a film that brings to life ethical challenges as well as learn from the insights of experts on how to deal with them in the subsequent panel session.

This is part of ACCA’s global campaign to mark the occasion of the Global Ethics Day 2021.
